Nathan Walker signed a four-year contract with the Wellington Phoenix two weeks into the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
The young winger played for Bucklands Beach AFC, Onehunga Sports, Auckland United and Fencibles United before joining the Phoenix academy at the start of 2024.

He is also a New Zealand age-group international. Walker featured in all three of New Zealand’s group matches at the 2023 FIFA U-17 Men’s World Cup in Indonesia and was a key member of the national team which won the 2024 OFC U-19 Men’s Championship without conceding a goal.

Nathan Walker made his first team debut in the round of 32 Australia Cup defeat to South Melbourne in August.
Walker started the men’s reserves’ first two matches in the 2024 National League Championship and found the back of the net in the 4-0 win over Cashmere Technical.
He was thrust into the Nix starting XI for their A-League season opener against Western United and didn’t look out of place in an unfamiliar wingback role.
Walker featured off the bench in Perth in round two and returned home to sign his first pro contract.
In total he made 23 appearances for the Phoenix in the league, 19 of which were as a substitute.
