Wellington Phoenix and Capital Football’s ‘Football For All’ Programme has received a boost with Wellington Phoenix now allowing fans the ability to add-on a season ticket or donate match day ticket to contribute to Football For All and it’s growth.
The award winning Football For All, a partnership between Capital Football, the Wellington Phoenix and principal partner Lloyd Morrison Trust, has the primary aim of fostering inclusion, participation and hauora by using football as a vehicle. The programme places young people into football clubs, futsal teams and school teams by removing potential barriers to play such as registration costs, equipment, transportation and communication difficulties for participants. The programme now has over 150 participants with ambitions to grow numbers both in Wellington and into other areas in New Zealand.
From today, those purchasing a Phoenix season ticket can either add-on a season ticket, or donate match day tickets to Football For All participants. Fans can also donate directly to the programme without having to purchase a season ticket themselves with a donation option on the season ticket front page
Phoenix General Manager David Dome said the Football For All add on was driven by some fans’ desire to want to help out after a particularly difficult two and a half seasons away based in Australia.
“We were getting requests from fans who wanted to support the club but weren’t able to attend games and while we have the Club Membership which is designed for that, some were asking for additional ways they could contribute more.”
“Our Football For All diversity and inclusion initiative enables fans to contribute back to the club while at the same time helping us expand the benefits we can offer to the young people in the programme.
“We are extremely grateful and proud that our fans have such a passion for the club in wanting to help financially and the initial feedback is that a contribution towards Football For All fits the bill perfectly!”

Football For All also works more broadly in low socio-economic communities to provide access to Wellington Phoenix training sessions and A-League games – last season almost 1,500 young people were transported to and from Phoenix games in Wellington and Auckland, and supplied lunch and Phoenix merchandise to make the experience a truly memorable one.
You can either purchase a season ticket entirely, or donate match day tickets on top of your Wellington Phoenix season ticket – or you can contribute without having to purchase a season ticket with a contribution option on the Wellington Phoenix season ticket front page.
The club and all our participants thank you for your generous support!
