“The club is extremely proud that, along with the Football for the Community Development Trust, we can provide something special to our communities,” said Dome.

The partnership, in association with the Football For The Community Diversity Trust and the Lloyd Morrison Trust, will also provide funding for the club’s ‘Bus to the Nix’ programme which offers the chance for over 500 children and their whanau to attend the match.

These participants will come from Aotearoa Māori Football, Mangere Refugee Centre, Multicultural Council of New Zealand, NZ Red Cross and Changemakers, with families receiving tickets to the game, lunch and buses to and from the match.

Wellington Phoenix General Manager, David Dome, says that the Club is thrilled to have an opportunity to provide young people and their families – who otherwise would not be able to attend – with access to this match.

“The club is extremely proud that, along with the Football for the Community Development Trust, we can provide something special to our communities,” said Dome.

“It’s a programme we’ve rolled out in the past with great success, so we’re both thrilled to be able to once again contribute to the local community in this manner.”

Spark’s Value Management Lead Rajesh Singh says the company is pleased to have the opportunity to provide funding for deserving families through its partnership with the Wellington Phoenix.

“Spark is happy to partner with the Wellington Phoenix at their match in Auckland this month, to provide the opportunity for more tamariki to experience the excitement and joy that a football game can bring.”

The Wellington Phoenix plays Perth Glory at Auckland’s Eden Park on Sunday 30 May from 3.35pm. Tickets available from www.ticketek.co.nz/phoenix
