The Wellington Phoenix wishes to provide an update on the following player injuries:
Gary Hooper continues to rehabilitate from a calf injury he incurred earlier in the pre-season. Hooper has responded well to physio and is on target to return to training in three weeks time.
Louis Fenton is recovering from a knee injury which he sustained late last week. This injury is expected to keep Fenton out of action for the next six weeks.
Sam Sutton is set for minor surgery next week, with regards to a knee injury he incurred during the pre-season. Sutton is expected to be out of action for a period of six weeks following the surgery.
Hooper, Fenton and Sutton are all confirmed to travel with the Phoenix squad to New South Wales, which is anticipated to be the beginning of next month.
