The Wellington Phoenix are pleased to announce that midfielder Reno Piscopo has been named to the Australian Under-23 squad also known as the Olyroos.
As one of 13 active Hyundai A-League players selected to the squad, this is 21-year-old Piscopo’s third call-up to the Olyroos. The 25-man squad will assemble in Chongqing, China this week for a three-match friendly series throughout the November FIFA window, playing against DPR Korea, Lithuania and hosts China PR. Their final friendly game is on Tuesday 19 November.
This inclusion adds to the five Wellington Phoenix players already on International duty with New Zealand, with their first game on Friday at 8.45am against Republic of Ireland, Live on Sky Sport.
