Phoenix Coaches to Share Knowledge

Phoenix Coaches to Share Knowledge

The Wellington Phoenix coaches and support staff will share their training methods and principles with 96 eager developing coaches at Petone Memorial Park on Sunday.

Phoenix head coach Ernie Merrick, assistant Chris Greenacre, goalkeeping coach Jonathan Gould and strength and condition coach Lee Spence are supporting a Capital Football initiative by giving up a rare day off at no charge.

There is obviously a thirst for knowledge among New Zealand-s developing coaches with the course sold out within days of it being advertised.

Merrick stressed it wasn-t a coaching course, but a sharing of information on the way a professional football club goes about developing and improving players.

The Phoenix squad will go through a full training session with the coaches keeping those attending informed as to what is happening, and why, throughout.
