Wellington Phoenix are pleased to announce that we have raised $2,177 for charity following the conclusion of this week’s #PoppyAppeal shirt auction.

The auction, which concluded on Tuesday, gave supporters the opportunity to bid on the official playing shirts worn by Phoenix players in November’s Hyundai A-League Remembrance Round fixture against Central Coast Mariners at GIO Stadium, Canberra. 

All shirts made available in the auction were snapped up by bidders with the shirts worn by Nix goalkeeper Lewis Italiano and Italian defender Marco Rossi attracting the highest winning bids of $411 and $276 respectively. 

All proceeds from the auction will go to the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services’ Association to assist with their ongoing fundraising efforts.
