Clegg, who turned 17 on the eve of the season, finished as the Phoenix’s golden boot, finding the back of the net four times in 16 appearances.

Milly Clegg – Young Player of the Year Nomination

She scored her maiden A-League goal in the 5-0 win over Canberra United in January and found the back of the net the following week against Brisbane Roar. She also bagged a second-half brace in the Nix’s penultimate round win over Adelaide United in March.

Wisnewski’s rocket against Brisbane in January saw her win the Liberty A-League goal of the month award for January and with it nomination for the goal of the year honour.

The 20-year-old box-to-box midfielder started the last 14 of Wellington’s matches after missing the opening four through injury.

She also scored in the Phoenix’s final round match against Melbourne Victory to secure a come-from-behind draw against the two-time defending champions.
