INS & OUTS: Lewis sidelined with knee injury

Wellington Phoenix men’s coach Ufuk Talay will be forced to make a change to his starting XI for Saturday afternoon’s Isuzu UTE A-League match against the Perth Glory in Palmerston North.

All Whites midfielder Clayton Lewis suffered a knee injury in Sunday’s 2-1 win over the Central Coast Mariners at Sky Stadium and has been ruled out of this weekend’s match.

Lewis has featured in all 13 of the men’s matches so far this season, starting the past 12 after coming off the bench in the season-opener against Adelaide United.

He joins centre back Scott Wootton (calf) on the sidelines.

Wellington Phoenix women’s coach Natalie Lawrence will be able to call on the same players that broke through for a resounding 5-0 win over Canberra United at Sky Stadium on Sunday.

Nineteen players are again vying for 16 places in the matchday squad for Saturday’s 12^th round Liberty A-League match against the Brisbane Roar in Brisbane.

Club captain Lily Alfeld (injury), playmaker Alyssa Whinham (personal reasons) and Football Ferns forward Emma Rolston (suspended) remain unavailable for selection.
