Lara Wall

Lara Wall landed her maiden pro contract in October 2024 following a successful trial with the Wellington Phoenix.

The fullback signed a two-year contract with the Nix, the first year of which was on scholarship terms.

Wall is originally from Dunedin and played for Southern United before spending the previous five seasons with the Canterbury United Pride and winning two national league titles.

She played alongside Annalie Longo at Cashmere Technical in 2024 and helped bring three trophies back to the club.

Playing as a wingback, Wall scored seven goals as well as providing numerous assists.

Lara Wall was one of just four players to feature in all 23 of the Wellington Phoenix’s matches during the 2024-25 A-League.

Wall was a second half substitute in the opening three matches of the season before making the left back spot her own.

She started the next 20 matches and played the full 90 minutes in all but one of them.

Wall achieved all that while juggling her job as a structural engineer.
