The Wellington Phoenix has announced that its red ‘Wollongong Strip’ which is being worn in tonight’s match – and for all home matches at WIN Stadium this month – will be available for fans in both Australia and New Zealand to purchase as a pre-order from tonight.

The strip features the iconic red colours, which are synonymous with Wollongong sport; along with the logo for match day sponsor, MCR, on the front of shirt. The white pattern inside the shirt is the topographical design of Mt Victoria in Wellington.
It will be available to purchase as a pre-order from Football Central from 4.05pm AEDT / 6.05pm NZ time tonight from here, with the strip expected to be delivered in May 2021.
Wellington Phoenix coach, Ufuk Talay says that the strip is a different look for the Nix and an important way for the club to help integrate in the Wollongong community.
“I’ve seen the strip and it looks nice – we’re showing our appreciation for being in Wollongong and it’s great to be wearing their colours for this match.”
