Wellington Phoenix have partnered with footwear manufacturing giants, New Balance and will become the club’s partner in providing footwear for the team.
Founded in 1906, New Balance is one of the world’s largest sports footwear manufacturers, originating from Boston in the United States.
The highly regarded brand produces high quality footwear, apparel and equipment. In addition to football, their range includes casual and sporting shoes and caters to a multitude of sporting codes all over the world.
New Balance are already partnered with some of the biggest football clubs including Liverpool FC, Celtic FC and Athletic Bilbao amongst others.
New Balance Marketing Manager for New Zealand, Liv Hale, is excited about the new partnership and is looking forward to the new Hyundai A-League season.
‘‘It is fantastic to have formed this new relationship with Wellington Phoenix, the only professional club in New Zealand and we are excited about bringing our product to the management team, office staff and players,’’ Hale said.
Wellington Phoenix Head of Commercial, Nathan Greenham, believes this new partnership is a real signal of intent from the club with partnerships due to come on board.
‘‘New Balance are a huge brand in the world of sport and we are very excited to showcase their product through the team.
‘’Since the development from the New Leagues Working Group, the commercial space is something we can control more of and focus on bringing in more revenue to progress further as a company,’’ Greenham commented.
