The Wellington Phoenix are seeking expressions of interest for the inaugural Wellington Phoenix eCup.
The eCup will be a FIFA 23 tournament run by the Wellington Phoenix and is aimed at widening the talent pool of gamers in Aotearoa.
The proposed tournament will run across two weekends in July and will take place online to only players across the motu to take part.
It’ll be a Playstation 5 tournament only, with the top ranked competitors to be invited to take part in the Wellington Phoenix E-League qualifiers later this year.
The ruleset of the tournament will follow the E-League.

The competition format will be revealed once we receive expressions of interest.
Requirements for taking part:
- PS5 competition – online (required)
- Ages 16+
- Twitch streaming capabilities encouraged but not essential
- Open to NZ players only
- Ultimate Team
- This is open to NZ competitors only
