Wellington Phoenix have partnered with Carlsberg to be the official beer of the Club.

Established in 1847, Carlsberg is the official beer of the English Premier League, the UEFA Cup and Liverpool F.C. for over 21 years.

Wellington Phoenix General Manager David Dome said the Club is thrilled to be partnering with one of the world’s preeminent beer brands.

“Partnering with Carlsberg is a huge coup for the Club.

“They are one of the great football beer brands and have relationships with a number of leagues, competitions and Clubs around the world.

“Their support of football around the world is magnificent and we look forward to them bringing those relationships to our partnership and working with them on a number of exciting projects” Carlsberg country manager Kristina Rasmussen said the brand is proud to partner with the Phoenix.

“Carlsberg has more history, heritage and relevance to football than any other beer brand in the World. And now, we are proudly the official beer of Wellington Phoenix”.

“Wellington Phoenix is characterised by its fans, Yellow Fever who, every week, will be subjected to nail-biting football as they watch their team endure heartbreak and glory and with mesmerising performances on the pitch alongside jaw-dropping goals and unbelievable saves, Carlsberg – ‘probably the best beer in the World’ – will be there every minute of every match which is sure to surpass all expectations.”

As part of the relationship, Carlsberg will be available for purchase on game day.

To celebrate the partnership, Carlsberg has subsidised one bay at the opening game on October 12 against Perth Glory.

One silver bay at the game will be sold for $18.47 (a nod to Carlsberg’s year of establishment) – an almost 20% discount on the standard pre-buy price of $23. Tickets for this special deal go on sale on Grab One at 12am on Thursday 9 October.

As part of the sponsorship, Bethel Woods, 73 The Terrace, becomes the official bar of the Wellington Phoenix for pre and post-match functions, including buses to and from games at Westpac and functions throughout the year.

Bethel Woods are looking forward to supporting the Club and the fans. This Sunday, the doors open at midday with the Phoenix v West Ham Carlsberg Football United Tour match playing on the big screen from 2pm.
