The Wellington Phoenix have locked in Porirua Park for the second leg of the women’s Ninja A-League semi-final.
The Phoenix will square off against the highest placed winner from this weekend’s elimination finals for a place in the grand final, after the women secured second place on the ladder following a record-breaking regular season.
The first leg of the semi-final will be at the home of the highest placed elimination final winner next weekend (May 2-3), with the second leg at Porirua Park on Sunday, May 10 with kick-off at 2:30pm NZT.
Tickets are on sale from 4pm this Wednesday following a 24-hour pre-sale for members from 4pm tomorrow (Tuesday).

Phoenix head coach Bev Priestman is “over the moon” to able to play a semi-final at the team’s Porirua Park fortress.
“We love playing at Porirua Park and our fans have made it a very difficult place for teams to come,” Priestman said. “With the increased capacity for the semi-final it promises to be an occasion that no Wellingtonian would want to miss out on.
“When we started this project we always talked about creating that moment where the city and the country stops.
“And although it’s a semi-final not a final, to have it at home at the place where our loyal fans come every single week is an opportunity to be there for that moment where this team goes and creates history yet again.”
The Phoenix are getting a temporary stand built at the northern end of Porirua Park to boost capacity.

General manager David Dome is urging fans to get in quick to secure a seat.
“There are little over a thousand seats available in the Jerry Collins Stadium stand and I expect these will be snapped up this week,” Dome said.
“We’re putting in the additional temporary seating to give as many fans as possible a seat for the women’s biggest ever game.
“They had an incredible regular season and deserve a big crowd to cheer them on to make more history for the club.”
