Wellington Phoenix and New Zealand’s Premier sports broadcaster, Sky Sport, have joined forces in a new partnership deal.
As broadcaster and New Zealand producer of the Hyundai A-League, Sky Sport is already closely associated with the club and the new relationship will see Sky Sport work more closely than ever before with New Zealand’s only professional football club and give fans an even greater insight into the Phoenix.
Sky Sport will also take up the back of shirt position on all home and away shirts, as well as branding on travel gear.
Wellington Phoenix General Manager David Dome said the partnership was an important extension of the existing relationship between club and broadcaster.
‘’Sky Sport has undergone significant change in the last six months including the introduction of a dedicated football channel and the new Sky Sport Now app.
‘’The new CEO and his team have been a breath of fresh air to deal with and we are truly excited about building a partnership with the new Sky.
‘’We want to give fans even greater access to the club and are working with Sky on how we do this – not only on game day where we will be introducing some new initiatives – but in and around the club.
