The Lyall Bay Phoenix fan was thrilled to have won the fantastic Sony prize.

“My wife and I texted in our pick for player of the day for the match against the Central Coast Mariners and we found out on Monday that we-d won, so we-re delighted.”

Peter is a devout fan of the Phoenix.

“I-ve played football locally in Wellington for 25 years and having a professional team here is amazing.”

Despite a slow start to this year-s competition, Peter is optimistic that the Phoenix will have a good season.

“It-s a just a little bit of consistency that-s needed, I think, and in the game against the Mariners the Phoenix showed a lot of determination and that they are getting into the groove. I-ll be there for the rest of the season, no doubt about it.”
