For the first time in their history, the Wellington Phoenix have launched a part season membership package aimed at encouraging casual, non-members and, especially families, to become part of the club as a season member.
With a number of games scheduled over the school holidays at family friendly times, new season members can join at very affordable rates and become a Wellington Phoenix FC season member.
Wellington Phoenix CEO Nathan Greenham says the club was looking to attract a larger membership base in general, and family season members in specific, over the warmer school holiday period.
“This season we have worked hard with the Football Federation Australia to build a schedule where we can get families along to our games. With five of the six games in the Nix Six Summer Pack being at the weekend, we are happy we can bring affordable professional football to the fans in Wellington.”
“The majority of those games also fall within the school holidays as well so it-s a great opportunity for families to spend some time together at a Phoenix game”.
A season membership is not only about reduced prices to games, it also shows support for the club in the best possible way. Greenham says that season members are what keeps the club going.
“There-s no doubt that members are the lifeblood of the club and we are trying to introduce as many people as possible to how great it is to be a member of the Wellington Phoenix.”
Only a limited number of seats have been put aside under this new membership. So this coupled with the memberships being limited only being available for a short time before the first game of the six vs Perth Glory on December 10, fans are encouraged to get in quick to get their Nix Six Season Membership.
“We have only put aside a limited number of seats for these memberships as a trial. So fans are encouraged to get in quick. Of course, if the membership does prove popular we will extend it further in future seasons” said Greenham.
