Herbert Supports Child Cancer Foundation

Herbert Supports Child Cancer Foundation

Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert is swapping codes for a day in support of the Child Cancer Foundation.

Herbert, along with strength and conditioning coach Lee Taylor, will attend Friday 29 July’s 14th annual Champions Lunch, hosted by the Skylight Trust at which the All Blacks- 1987 World Cup victory will be celebrated.

An auction, proceeds of which will go to the Child Cancer Foundation, will be held and Herbert has donated a signed All White shirt.

Herbert said he and the Wellington Phoenix club was always keen to support such causes.

Over its 15-year history the lunch has raised $1.8 million for the worthy cause and those attending Friday-s lunch, at Wellington-s Amora Hotel, read like a Who-s Who of rugby.

Among guests will be Michael Jones, Joe Stanley, Sir Brian Lochore, Ian Kirkpatrick, Frank Bunce, and Justin Marshall.

Josh Kronfeld will also be there after riding a $100,000 Chopper motorcycle, which will be auctioned, from Auckland to Wellington, stopping at Pak ‘N Save stores along the way.
