Fixture changes for Phoenix women

Fixture changes for Phoenix women

The Wellington Phoenix’s next Liberty A-League match has been pushed back a couple of days and their following fixture has been brought forward.

The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) have advised the Phoenix’s round nine match against Perth Glory, originally scheduled to be played in Perth on Saturday, January 29, will now be played at Wanderers Football Park in Sydney on Monday, January 31.

The game will kick-off at 6:35pm AEDT (8:35pm NZT).

Perth have followed the Phoenix in relocating to New South Wales as a result of border restrictions in Western Australia.

Gemma Lewis’ team will then have a short turnaround before their round 10 match against reigning champions Melbourne Victory.

The Phoenix’s game at WIN Stadium in Wollongong has been brought forward from Sunday, February 6 to Friday, February 4, with kick-off at 6:35pm AEDT (8:35pm NZT).

The changes have been made as the host broadcaster continues to face staffing issues as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak in Australia.
