The Wellington Phoenix have confirmed today that experienced defender, Louis Fenton, suffered a shoulder injury during the first half of their Round 4 match against Melbourne City last Sunday.
A recent MRI scan confirmed the injury, which rules Fenton out of Wellington’s Round 5 clash versus Melbourne Victory at AAMI Stadium this Sunday 10th November.
Wellington Phoenix Head Coach Ufuk Talay said: ”It is unfortunate that Louis won’t be with us for this match, he brings a toughness and passion to our squad that we need.
”We’ll re-evaluate Louis next week to determine his availability for Round 7 and beyond, and in the meantime we wish him all the best in his recovery and look forward to his return.”
