Wellington Phoenix have announced that forward Callum McCowatt has departed the club following the conclusion of his contract, electing to sign with Helsingør in the Danish 1st Division.
McCowatt, 21, signed for the Phoenix in 2019 and made 25 appearances – including 13 starts – during the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 Season.
During his time with the Phoenix, McCowatt scored his maiden goal versus Western United on 28 December 2019 in a 3-1 Wellington win, and also registered two assists in the season.
