Budget New Zealand signs on as a premium partner

On the eve of the Wellington Phoenix Football Club’s inaugural double header at Sky Stadium, leading rental car company Budget New Zealand has come on board as a premium partner of both the men’s and women’s teams for the 2022-23 A-Leagues season and beyond.

The partnership will see the Budget brand feature prominently on the back of the men and women’s playing shorts for the next three years.

The Budget brand made its debut on the back left of the women’s shorts for their historic opening round match against Melbourne City last month and will remain there for the rest of their first Liberty A-League season in Wellington.

Budget, which has a network of over 40 locations in New Zealand, is also a back-of-short sponsor for the Phoenix men, who will return to Sky Stadium tomorrow afternoon after a month-long absence for the club’s double-header against Adelaide United.

Lee Marshall, General Manager of Budget New Zealand, says Budget is thrilled to partner with the Wellington Phoenix.

“When it comes to New Zealand sports teams, the Phoenix men and women are two of the best,” Marshall said. “They demonstrate determination, teamwork and high performance, many of the beliefs and values that also drive us.

“We will be backing the teams over the next couple of years and look forward to bringing fun and excitement to not only their loyal fan base in Wellington but Kiwi sports lovers across the country.”

Wellington Phoenix general manager David Dome has welcomed Budget to the club’s family of commercial partners.

“Budget New Zealand is the latest blue chip company to show their support for the Phoenix,” Dome said.

“The Budget brand has a reputation for excellence and value across the globe and it’s great to have them onboard as a club partner.

“We look forward to working with their teams in Wellington and around Aotearoa over the coming years.”

Budget New Zealand is now the official car rental partner of the Wellington Phoenix.
