Wellington Phoenix striker Jeremy Brockie has been rewarded for his stellar season by winning a place in the PFA Hyundai A-League team of the year.
Brockie was runner-up to Central Coast Mariners Daniel McBreen in the race for the Golden Boot, but edged out McBreen when A-League players voted for the Team of the Year.
A bonus for Brockie, who scored 16 times for the Phoenix despite the club finishing bottom of the table, is that the PFA team of the season makes up 20 per cent of the vote for the Foxtel All Stars side that will play Manchester United in July.
A keen Manchester United fan, Brockie will be delighted to have increased his chances of playing against the Premier League champions in Sydney.
