Season ticket renewals opened on Monday with sales hitting almost 300, a first day high for the club.
Merrick confirmed his first signing on Tuesday with the acquisition of former Perth Glory goalkeeper Lewis Italiano and there will be more to come in the next few weeks.
The arrival of former A-League player-of-the-year Carlos Hernandez is eagerly awaited by fans and team-mates alike so there is plenty to look forward to.
