Nix fixtures released for the upcoming season

The long-awaited draw for the 2025-26 A-Leagues has finally been revealed, with the Wellington Phoenix men and women both given the chance to make an early impression at home.

The Phoenix men will open their Isuzu UTE A-League season in Perth in little over five weeks’ time before playing six of their next eight matches at Sky Stadium in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, all prior to Christmas.

The Phoenix women have a bye in the opening round of the Ninja A-League before playing their first three matches in Wellington in November, two of which will be at their Porirua Park fortress.

The club will stage two A-Leagues double-headers at Sky Stadium, the first on Saturday, November 8 when the women open their season against Canberra United and the men host the first New Zealand derby of 2025-26, and the second on Waitangi Day, with the possibility of a third on Saturday, March 14.

There will also be at least three further weekends where both first teams are playing in Wellington.

Sky Stadium is scheduled to host 12 of the Phoenix men’s fixtures, with the venue for the 13th and final home game yet to be confirmed.

Five will be played on Saturdays, primarily at 5pm, with another five kicking off at the family-friendly time of 3pm on Sundays and two will be Friday night fixtures.

All of the Phoenix women’s home matches are scheduled to kick-off at 4pm, with five on Sundays, four on Saturdays and one on Waitangi Day, which falls on a Friday in 2026.

As a result of Western United’s participation agreement being placed in conditional hibernation for the 2025-26 season, the men will play Auckland FC, Melbourne Victory, Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United three times in addition to playing the other seven clubs home and away.

The women will play two fewer matches than their last campaign and will have a bye in late December in addition to having the opening round off.

Club memberships are available now.

Multi-game passes (Triple Nix & Nix Six bundles) will be on-sale the following Tuesday (September 23) with individual tickets for all Phoenix men’s matches and remaining double-headers available from September 30.

All standalone Phoenix women’s matches will be on-sale on October 7.
