Another weekend in the books for the Wellington Phoenix academy.
A truncated set of matches, due to Easter weekend, saw the men’s reserves maintain their perfect record in the Dettol Central League.
Luke Flowerdew’s second-half winner secured a 1-0 win over Miramar Rangers to stay top of the competition.
In the Capital Premier division, the U18 men lost 3-2 to Miramar, with Riley Allison and Mac Munro’s goals not enough to prevent a defeat.
This weekend, the men’s reserves and women’s U18 side both host Petone FC.
The women’s reserves also get their season underway against Waterside Karori in the U15 Capital Development League.
The U16 boys face Seatoun AFC reserves, while the U15 boys play Petone away.
