Ifeanyi Eze

Ifeanyi Eze was the men’s first signing for the 2025-26 Isuzu UTE A-League.

The Nigerian striker joined the squad for pre-season training in early August after putting pen to paper with the Phoenix in July.

Eze is left-footed and has been a professional for seven years.

He started his senior career in the Nigeria Professional League before joining Al Soqour Tobruk for the 2022-23 Libyan Premier League season.

Eze moved to Al Ahli Nabatiya in Lebanon in 2023 before returning to Libya mid-season to play for Al-Hilal SC, where he scored four goals in 11 matches.

Ifeanyi Eze enjoyed a standout campaign in the Iraq Star League after joining Al-Karkh SC.

Eze scored 15 goals and provided five assists in 36 appearances, 34 of which were starts.

He also scored in the Iraq FA Cup.

Phoenix head coach Giancarlo Italiano has hailed Eze as a fantastic signing for the club.

“He has all of the attributes I was looking for in an attacker. He can score goals, he’s very fast, he can dribble at pace and his intention is to always go forward.

“Eze’s got this nice instinct where as soon as he gets around the 18-yard box he’s looking to shoot or create. He can also link quite well.

“And the most important thing for me is he’s a really, really good person.”
