Elliot, the Scottish-born midfielder had enjoyed a successful trial at the club before signing. Callan Elliot began his career at Tasman United when he was scouted by former Wellington Phoenix legend, Paul Ifil. Elliot made his debut in the 8-2 win over Central Coast Mariners on 10 March 2019 and went on to make four appearances in the rest of the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 season.
