The Wellington Phoenix have reappointed the women’s backroom staff for the 2025-26 Ninja A-League.
Head analyst and assistant coach Tory Schiltgen, goalkeeper coach Nick Stanton, operations and equipment manager Toni West-Luamanu, head physical performance scientist Kieran McMinn and head physiotherapist Beanie Joyes are returning for another season alongside lead assistant coach Amy Shepherd, who is serving as the interim head coach until a permanent appointment is made.
They will again be joined by rehab physiotherapist Jamie Hassett and analyst Tyron Curtis, who will continue to work across both the women’s and men’s first teams.
Director of football Shaun Gill is delighted to have kept hold of the entire women’s support staff.
“While we wait to appoint our new women’s head coach it’s important to have some consistency off the pitch,” Gill said. “And we certainly have that with eight staff returning next season.
“They’re all well respected by the players and contributed to a great team culture.
“The next step is results on the pitch and they’re all driven to have the Phoenix women pushing for silverware.”

Schiltgen was appointed to a club-wide role last September. On top of her duties with the Phoenix women, she’s coach of the women’s U-18 side at the academy.
West-Luamanu, who was named a staff member of the year at the club’s awards earlier this month, and Joyes are also returning for a second season.
Stanton and McMinn have been reappointed for a third year, as have Hassett and Curtis.
