The Wellington Phoenix’s first road match of the 2025-26 Ninja A-League has been pushed back to March.
The Phoenix were due to play Central Coast Mariners at polytec Stadium on Saturday, November 29 at 4:15pm NZT.
As the Football Ferns are scheduled to play the Matildas at the same venue the night before the Nix have asked for the round five A-League fixture to be moved.
The match will now be played on Wednesday, March 25 at 9pm NZT, still at polytec Stadium in Gosford.
The mid-week fixture now falls in between Wellington’s round 20 match against Sydney FC at Leichhardt Oval in Sydney on Friday, March 20 and their final home regular season game against Western Sydney Wanderers at Porirua Park on Sunday, March 29.
The Phoenix women open their season against Canberra United at Sky Stadium this Saturday after having a bye in the opening round.
