Watson Joins Phoenix As Injury Replacement

Hawke’s Bay United striker and former Phoenix Football School of Excellence player Hamish Watson has joined the Hyundai A-League club as an injury replacement for Roy Krishna.

Since leaving the FSE Watson made two appearances for the Phoenix and has played in England with Grimsby Town and Gainsborough Trinity before returning to New Zealand and joining Hawke’s Bay.

Phoenix General Manager David Dome said his club was grateful to Hawke’s Bay United for allowing Watson to make the move.
