The Wellington Phoenix will look to finish the 2024 National League season strong as the season wraps up this weekend.
The men’s reserves are coming off two statement wins against pre-season favourites Auckland City and Wellington Olympic, and will look to carry that momentum into their final match.
They face Western Springs at Seddon Fields on Saturday, 23 November, with the game kicking off at 3pm.
Although Western Springs will be a tough opponent, currently sitting third, a win for the Nix could catapult them as high as second place to finish the campaign.
The women’s reserves also play at 3pm on Saturday, 23 November, with their game coming against Auckland United at Keith Hay Park.
Auckland have already secured first place and a grand final spot, but the Phoenix will be out for revenge after their narrow loss in the Kate Sheppard Cup semi final.
They are guaranteed to finish in ninth place, but will be keen to build on their improved showings over the last few rounds.
The youth National League campaigns have finished for the season, with both boys’ and girls’ U-17 sides taking out the national titles.
