Pre-game: We will have a DJ playing on the plaza to get you pumped and in the derby mood. Fuel your Nix pride at the Merch Store (Aisle 23), then head to the OPPO Duracade (Aisle 29) for some pre-game fun before the action begins. Make your way to Aisle 30 for face painting and Pics with the Nix, thanks to McDonald’s – they’ve also got a bouncy castle at Aisle 14. Test out your skills with the Chemist Warehouse inflatable (Aisle 28). Pure Nutrition will also be giving out freebies on your way in!
5.00pm: Kick-off
Half-Time: Stick around in the stands for half-time to see the McDonald’s Half-Time Heroes do their thing – plus, the Mike Pero beat the clock half-time challenge!
Post-match: After the match, watch the special presentation of Ka Topa, a treasured taonga gifted by Te Āti Awa.
Ahead of the inaugural New Zealand Derby between Wellington Phoenix and Auckland FC, mana whenua Te Āti Awa and Ngāti Whātua gifted two taonga to the Wellington Phoenix and named the New Zealand Derby Mai te Raki ki te Tonga, meaning “From the North to the South” in te reo Māori. Ka Topa, meaning “to soar” or “to rise,” is a physical representation of the club’s life force and spirit, and will be presented to the winner of Mai te Raki ki te Tonga matches played in Te Whanganui-a-Tara.

Plan your journey to Sky Stadium using the full range of public transport options available on the Metlink website. Be sure to check the timetable and plan ahead to ensure a smooth trip.
Will trains be running?
Yes! Trains will be running at their usual weekday scheduled times on the Hutt Valley, Kāpiti, Johnsonville and Wairarapa Lines. Metlink is providing extra capacity on trains, and larger buses will be running on core bus routes to help ease demand.
Are there extra bus services?
Yes. bus services will have boosted capacity on both days, including double decker buses operating where available.
Will the ferry be running and at what times?
Yes, the ferry will be running on its standard weekday timetable.
How much will I pay for my trip to the game?
Weekday fares apply when using Snapper. We recommend using Snapper to tag on and off. It’s the most affordable way to pay. Check the journey planner for your trip fares.
How much will kids pay for travel to the match?
Children under 5 years old travel for free anytime on Metlink buses, trains, and ferries, if they travel with another passenger who is at least 10 years old. For the most affordable way to pay, we recommend that kids use their Snapper cards to tag on and off instead of using cash.

Parking
Car parking is available to pre-purchase online through Ticketek for $34. If you require a mobility car park, please request this using the Sky Stadium online form, at least 24 hours prior to the event. Please note once purchased, this is non-refundable.
