We’re kicking off the festive season with a big day out at Porirua Park, and we want you there with us.

To celebrate Nixmas, we’re offering 2-for-1 tickets for this match, so grab a mate, bring the whānau, and get amongst the action as your Phoenix take to the field.

To help you get sorted, we’ve pulled together everything you need to know ahead of the match below.

Matchday schedule

Get ready to back your Phoenix women as they take on Sydney FC. Arrive early, soak up the atmosphere, and be part of the action.

Tickets

EzyTicket and mobile tickets are available for this match. You can print your ticket at home or download it to your smartphone right up until kick-off.

Before arriving, please: Turn your screen brightness to full. Check for any screen cracks that might affect the barcode scan. If your screen is damaged, print your ticket to ensure smooth entry.

Accessibility information: Porirua Park is a fully accessible venue. There is space in the grandstand for five wheelchairs – contact us to reserve a space or to book a mobility car park.

Pre & During match:
Fuel up for matchday with a visit to our food trucks, including the classic sausage sizzles, so don’t forget a few coins. Want to bring your own spread? Pack a picnic with homemade food and unopened non-alcoholic drinks, throw down a picnic blanket, and bring a chilly bin or picnic basket (maximum size 350mm high x 300mm deep x 400mm wide). Prams and strollers are welcome, and umbrellas are good to go in the embankment only (not permitted in the stand).

Wellington City Mission Food Drive

We’re proud to support the Wellington City Mission with a food drive at the match. Check out the image below to see which items are most needed. You can drop off donations at the gate before entering, or make a gold coin donation at the ticket booth.

Entertainment for Little Phoenix fans
Bringing the whānau along? There’s plenty to keep young fans entertained while you enjoy the match. The Nix Family Zone will be buzzing with festive fun, featuring FREE face painting, balloon twisting, and a creative station with colouring-in and bracelet making.

There’s also plenty of other fun for all ages, including an inflatable football target, subfootball, cornhole, and giant Connect 4. And be sure to keep an eye out for a special appearance from Santa, the Grinch, and their helper, adding extra magic to the silly season celebrations.

Local kick-off time: 4:00pm

Half-Time (approx. 4:45 – 4:50pm): Make the most of the break and head to the Nix Family Zone to dive into the activities and grab some tasty food while you recharge for the second half. Prefer to stay in the stands? Keep an eye out for our Christmas heist, who will pull off the ultimate present steal? A huge shout-out to our partners for hooking us up with some awesome giveaways for our half-time – Pure Nutrition, Entelar Group, OPPO, USL Medical & Float Well.

Float Well

Full-Time (approx. 5:50pm): Head to the western side of the pitch straight after the match and bring your gear for our signing session, thanks to McDonalds.

Getting to the Venue
Porirua Park is situated at 100 Mungavin Avenue, Rānui, Porirua 5024. Find directions here.

Public Transport 
Plan your journey to Porirua Park using the full range of public transport options available on the Metlink website. Be sure to check the timetable and plan ahead to ensure a smooth trip.

Parking
If you’re driving, free on-street is available nearby. Limited parking is also offered at the upper carpark, off Gear Terrace (entrance is marked by a sign).  Head to 111 Gear Terrace for entry and follow the pathway down to the venue. Please note, the upper carpark pathway is steep and may be challenging for those with limited mobility. If you require a more mobility-friendly access route, you may prefer to book a spot in the lower carpark or find on-street parking. Alternatively, you can park at the Mungavin netball courts (27 Mungavin Avenue) and walk up from there, please note that it is public parking. We recommend arriving early to secure a park.
