The Wellington Phoenix have announced a sponsorship with Layer3 – a leading Wellington-based IT service provider – for its IT management and strategic services.

Layer3 specialises in remote work, cloud tools and a modern workplace approach to grow client’s business. As part of this sponsorship agreement the company will provide security, storage and strategic IT solutions for the Club.
Wellington Phoenix General Manager David Dome, says that the Club’s IT needs have changed significantly over the past few years due to Covid and other factors, so it will be reliant on Layer3 helping the Club to continue ‘future-proofing’ itself in the IT space.
“Covid forced us to re-think how we work both in New Zealand and across the Tasman – especially given our forced re-location to Australia last season – which dictated a need for improved IT and storage platforms for our staff,” says Dome.
“We have a long-standing relationship with Layer3, so we look forward to building this relationship with them going forward as we further adapt to this post-Covid environment.”
Layer3’s Daniel Bohan says that sponsorship and partnering with an iconic New Zealand organisation such as the Wellington Phoenix is an exciting prospect.
“Success comes both on and off the field. We have worked with the Phoenix for a long time already and we believe in this Club – we are really excited now to build on that relationship and help the Phoenix move forward with new IT strategies and possibilities.”
