The Wellington Phoenix and Capital Football want you to be part of the Club Parade at the opening game of the season!
Please see below details for this event. We very much hope your club is able to take part in this exciting event, the children have had an amazing time in previous years.
The Club Parade will start from Civic Square again this year. Other people will then join you as you march past Queen-s Wharf (outside TSB Arena) in a procession to Westpac Stadium. Therefore, if you want to have an extra number of families walking in the parade from Civic Square they would be most welcome to join the parade, but please note that upon arrival at the stadium they will need to enter the turnstiles with their purchased ticket(s) and sit in their seats as per normal.

This year, we are offering the opportunity for 1 child from each club to be a players mascot as the two teams enter the field. The child selected to be the mascot will need to attend the club mascot briefing at 3.20pm (at Civic Square) to be provided with their identification to show that they are the club ‘mascot-.
Numbers for the march from each club:
o The more children interested the better! We ask that for every 8 children there is 1 Adult (co-ordinators) for each club.
o We encourage a mix of boys and girls.
o Ages approximately 10-12 years, please note that the children need to be able to walk from Civic Square to the Stadium, which is approximately 2kms.
Dress
o On the day, we ask that all clubs wear their full club strip – shirts, shorts & socks (if this isn-t possible, please wear your club colours) and appropriate football like sports shoes please. No studded football boots are allowed on the field of play, children who are wearing studded football boots will be asked to remove them.
Important notes
o No parking will be provided at the stadium, please make your own parking arrangements.
o For safety reasons we recommend drop off at Michael Fowler Centre on Wakefield Street then walk through to Civic Square.
