Boarding Assistant
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on boarders’ lives? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join as a Boarding Assistant. This role offers flexible, part-time hours and includes heavily subsidised accommodation/board in the boarding house, located at NZCIS Silverstream, including 3 meals per day.
As a Boarding Assistant, your primary responsibility is to oversee and support boarders during non-school hours, ensuring their well-being and adherence to daily routines. This includes waking students, supervising study periods, meals, and bedtime, maintaining room cleanliness, and organising activities. You’ll also assist with transportation to school and football training sessions using a provided vehicle, address minor medical issues by administering and recording basic medications, and uphold a clean and orderly environment. Additionally, attending staff meetings, participating in professional development sessions, and reporting any concerns to the Head of Boarding are essential aspects of the role.
